Pound cake is a classic dessert that everyone loves, and this hazelnut version is an upgraded version of the traditional recipe. This rich and decadent cake is perfect for any occasion! The combination of sweet hazelnut flavor and dense, moist cake is just heavenly. It's definitely a recipe you'll want to make again and again.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup ground hazelnut meal
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and oil until light and fluffy. Add in the sugar and beat until combined. Add in the eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Add in the vanilla and mix until incorporated.

In a medium bowl, mix together the hazelnut meal, flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool for 10 minutes before inverting onto a cooling rack.

Enjoy your hazelnut pound cake!
